Welcome to Compton Hospice

Compton Hall

Located on the western outskirts of Wolverhampton in the West Midlands, Compton Hospice, a registered charity, opened in February 1982 and is administered by a board of Directors. It is situated in 4.5 acres of woodland and gardens of Compton Hall, which was built in 1850. Entrance to the Hospice is through the main reception area. A purpose built in-patient unit, day centre and education unit are housed to the rear of the hall.

Parking facilities are available within the Hospice grounds where the Coffee Shop and Nearly New Shop are also located.

The Hospice is on the main bus route from the town centre of Wolverhampton and is within easy reach of a variety of local shops, restaurants and takeaways. It is also on the 510 bus route to Bridgnorth.

The Hospice provides a multi-disciplinary team approach to palliative care to help patients, relatives and carers. Many of the patients never come to the Hospice but receive care at home.

The Hospice also provides advice and support to other Health Care professionals. As part of our commitment to education and training we sometimes have medical, nursing and other students in placements with the various departments. We are also privileged to be supported by a large number of dedicated volunteers.
