Compton Hospice Education and Training Centre
Welcome to the new prospectus, detailing over 50 study days and short courses covering a range of issues relating to palliative care. There are also longer academic courses run in partnership with the School of Health at the University of Wolverhampton.
I am confident you will find something of interest. The current national and local healthcare agenda requires practitioners to be competent in a range of skills, underpinned by evidence-based knowledge and our courses are designed to meet the requirements of, e.g. the NICE Guidance for Improving Supportive and Palliative Care for Adults with Cancer, and the NHS Knowledge and Skills Framework.
These programmes are provided by Birmingham and The Black Country Palliative Care Education Consortium, incorporating Compton Hospice, Wolverhampton, Birmingham St Mary's and St Giles, Lichfield and are free to staff working for all NHS organisations within Birmingham and the Black Country. Funding is provided by NHS West Midlands Workforce Institute.
Programmes in this prospectus are held at:

Please telephone the department if there is any further information you require on your chosen study.
