Gift Aid
Gift Aid
As part of the Government's "Getting Britain Going" measures, there have been sweeping changes to the Gift Aid procedures, enabling donations to be made more effectively.
The changes came into effect on 6th April 2000.
- 250 minimum limit for donations abolished, Gift Aid can now apply to any donation as long as the donor is a tax payer
- Gift Aid replaces the tax relief on Deeds of Covenant
- New, simple, flexible, Gift Aid declaration replaces the certificate previously required.
How does this affect you, the donor?
Simply send your donation towards our work here at Compton Hospice with the Completed Gift Aid Form (if you are a taxpayer) and we will reclaim the tax paid on your donation. We can apply this to Regular Giving Donations too, if you should decide to make a regular Monthly, or Annual gift to the Hospice.
Your donation will be increased by nearly one-third its value through Gift Aid - without it costing you a penny!
It's cost effective, and couldn't be easier.
