Chaplaincy

The Chaplaincy team, comprising clergy and lay people from differing Christian traditions, helps to fulfil one of the prime aims of Hospice philosophy that of caring for the spiritual welfare of patients, families and Hospice staff.

We aim to have at least one member of the team available for a few hours each day and an on-call service is available.

Services are held in the Chapel and patients can request a visit from a team member whenever they wish. Clergy and pastoral visitors from patients own church fellowships are welcome to visit.

The Hospice is a non-denominational organisation and, whilst present chaplaincy team members are Christians, visits from other faith leaders are welcome.
